Ahead of the official presentation: details of Manor Solomon's contract at West Ham
The Israeli, who signed a three-year deal with the Championship club, will earn about 2 million pounds per season—roughly a million less than his Tottenham contract. Today, ahead of his first training session, he will be officially presented as a Hammer.
Manor Solomon, who will be presented today (Monday) as a new West Ham player after passing medical tests, will earn about two million pounds per season. The 27-year-old Israel national team winger, who will hold his first training session with the Hammers today, signed a five-year contract with Tottenham three years ago, which was worth three million pounds per season.
As part of the move, which was revealed on ynet, the player signed a three-year agreement with a salary approximately one-third lower than his previous deal. While at Tottenham Solomon earned 60,000 pounds per week, at West Ham the figure will drop to 40,000 pounds per week. West Ham, relegated last season, opened their Championship campaign with a 3:1 victory over Portsmouth.
Solomon, expected to be a key player in the Hammers' bid to return to the Premier League, is set to make his debut in the upcoming away match against Burnley (Sunday, 18:00).
Under the terms of the deal, West Ham will pay Tottenham five million pounds immediately. If the team earns promotion to the Premier League next summer, they will transfer an additional two million pounds to the Spurs. Furthermore, Tottenham will retain a ten percent sell-on clause for the Israeli.
Solomon joined Tottenham in the summer of 2023, but his tenure was hampered by a serious injury. He was subsequently loaned to Leeds United, Villarreal, and Fiorentina. The Italian club showed strong interest in signing him until the very last moment, but Solomon chose to remain in England.
