Over the past day, the Civil Administration thwarted four attempts to transport approximately 90 tons of waste intended for dumping at illegal sites in the Palestinian Authority territories. Four trucks were seized at various crossings throughout the West Bank.

At the Mizmoria crossing, a truck carrying construction waste was seized. Subsequently, three more trucks were intercepted: one at the Tunnels crossing containing scrap metal and electronic waste, another at the A-Zaim crossing carrying construction waste, and a fourth at the Tunnels crossing also transporting construction waste.

The trucks and their contents were transferred to the impound lot in Mizmoria for further inspection and handling. The Civil Administration noted that these smuggling attempts are part of a broader phenomenon of waste dumping at illegal sites in the West Bank, which poses a risk of environmental hazards and pollution in the area.
