Led by head coach Roi Eisenberg, the team recorded its third victory in three games on Sunday, defeating Bulgaria with an impressive 90:67 scoreline. Only an extreme scenario could now prevent them from advancing to the knockout stage.
Israel faced little resistance against Bulgaria, largely due to a dominant performance by Maya Zilbershlag, who scored 27 points, and the team's efficiency from beyond the arc, hitting 13 three-pointers at a 41 percent clip. Israel pulled away to a double-digit lead in the second quarter, and a 10:0 run at the start of the third effectively sealed the game.
All teams will have a rest day on Monday. On Tuesday, Israel will face Ukraine in the final group stage match, where a win will secure the top spot in Group B.
