Due to a bloody conflict between families in the city of Rahat, in cooperation with the office of the legal advisor of the Southern District, the commander of the Rahat police station, Superintendent Yitzhak Yona, signed two administrative closure orders for 10 days for two garages over the weekend. The orders were issued after it was found that the continued operation of the businesses and presence in them could pose a real danger and a significant fear of harm to the public, among other things against the backdrop of shooting incidents within the framework of a criminal conflict between families in the city.

Just this morning (Sunday) it was reported that a 25-year-old man was shot during the night in his home in Rahat. According to the report, several masked young men arrived at his home in a vehicle and shot him. The suspicion is that this is a conflict between criminals in the city, and the police are investigating the incident.

Last week, during a police operation at a logistics complex in the Rahat area, trucks and forklifts were found with a total value estimated at approximately three million shekels. According to the police suspicion, the complex was used, among other things, to conceal goods.

The operation was conducted as part of an investigation being carried out against a resident of Rahat. During the inspection of the complex, a suspicion arose that the area was being used in violation of the permitted designation. At the same time, the police officers noticed a person who, according to the police, is an illegal resident, as he was getting off one of the forklifts and trying to escape from the scene. The officers detained him and he was transferred to the Rahat station for further investigation.
