Elin Golan: "I am known thanks to my parents, but I earn my own success"
In an open conversation at a launch event, Elin Golan talks about dealing with criticism regarding her family lineage, the hard work behind the scenes, and her parents' support.
Shortly after being chosen to lead prominent campaigns and star on the biggest stages in Israel, singer and actress Elin Golan arrived at the launch of the new collection by the clothing brand FIX for an interview.
The brand launched the Gossip Girl X fix collection at a festive event inspired by New York's Upper East Side, attended by dozens of influencers and stars. Alongside Golan, Gal Tamam, Lihi Freud, Sheli Peretz, Amit Mizrahi, Yohanan Tuvina, and Shira Klein were present at the event, and the sparkling evening concluded with a moving surprise performance by Noam Kleinstein.
During the evening, we caught up with Elin Golan, who is cultivating a career in the entertainment world, for a conversation about dealing with criticism regarding her family lineage, the hard work behind the scenes, and her connection to her art and the audience.
When asked about her favorite song among those she has released, Golan admitted that it is a complex choice:
"Wow, that's a hard question! I don't think there is a favorite, I think each one just met me at a different period in my life."
However, she noted that at the current point in her life, she feels the strongest connection to the song "Ahat Me-Ahat" ("One of None").
One of the central topics that arises in Golan's environment is the criticism of her path due to being the daughter of Ilanit Levi and Eyal Golan. Golan has no problem talking about these claims, and clarifies:
"I know that I am known thanks to my parents, I am not lacking in self-awareness. But I think that from there to taking it away from the hard work I do, and the music I release and write and create, and the series I act in and work so hard at, and the auditions — I know that it is thanks to myself."
Regarding the critics, she added: "I have nothing more to say. I know that I have proven it to myself, whoever wants to can continue to talk, it's all fine."
Alongside the success at a young age, which includes participation in the Festigal show, acting in youth series, and releasing singles, Golan maintains perspective and emphasizes the approach that guides her day-to-day:
"I think I am in gratitude all the time to the Creator of the world, that it is truly a privilege. To people, it sometimes seems that everything goes easily, and there is so much hard work."
She noted that her parents' support provides a strong backbone: "My parents are the most supportive and encouraging in the world. They were a bit afraid of this world, but they are really with me."
When asked about her aspirations for the future, Golan chose to focus on the journey rather than just the destinations:
"My dream is to continue doing what I love and also enjoy it every day, and to remember that it is truly a privilege, and it is not taken for granted. To constantly appreciate and appreciate and appreciate and say thank you."
