Eli Yatzpan on his daughter: "I hope she finds a better job"
The comedian, considered for years one of Israel's biggest entertainment stars, spoke about the moving moment he discovered his daughter Noa would star alongside him in the new film "Hill 338": "She was very excited."
Eli Yatzpan is one of the most recognizable comedians, impressionists, and television hosts in the Israeli entertainment industry. Throughout his career, he became a major screen star, led successful programs, and enjoyed the status of the Israeli ratings king for years.
Even today, he remains in high demand for numerous productions, and now he returns to the big screen with the film "Hill 338," which presents a new plot inspired by the iconic film "Givat Halfon Eina Ona" (Halfon Hill Doesn't Answer).
Ahead of the film's release, Yatzpan and Shahar Hasson were guests on the "Morning News" program on Keshet 12, where they discussed their first collaboration and the filming experience. For Yatzpan, one of the most moving moments was learning that his daughter, Noa Yatzpan, had been chosen to act alongside him.
"It was moving when they told me she was chosen for the role," he said. "She was very excited and did it beautifully. I hope she finds a better job than this one. She enrolled at Reichman University, and that calms me down."
This is also the first time Yatzpan and Hasson have collaborated. Hasson stated that it was a dream come true for him: "It was a dream to work with Yatzpan, and I fulfilled it. I learned a lot from him." Yatzpan responded with praise: "He is the number one comedian, amazing and wild, a crazy talent bomb. It was perfect work, a pleasure."
Both emphasized that "Hill 338" is not an attempt to recreate "Givat Halfon Eina Ona," but a new film with original characters and a plot. "We don't dare to compete with the original Givat Halfon," said Yatzpan, while Hasson added that the plot draws inspiration from the original but focuses on events and the current reality of the IDF.
