Elbit Systems Secures $235M European Contract for PULS and EXTRA-MR
Elbit Systems announced today that it has been awarded a $235 million contract to supply EXTRA-MR medium-range rockets and PULS rocket artillery systems to a European customer. The agreement was executed as a government-to-government contract between the Israel Ministry of Defense and the customer nation's defense ministry, spanning a period of three years.
Under the terms of the contract, Elbit will supply the medium-range variant of its supersonic EXTRA guided rocket system. The package also includes PULS launchers, additional artillery platforms, and integrated logistic support.
Technical Capabilities and Strategic Context
The EXTRA-MR is a precision-guided rocket designed for medium-range operational scenarios, capable of striking targets at distances of up to 80 kilometers. The system is fully compatible with Elbit's PULS launcher and existing C4I architectures, offering flexible and cost-effective capabilities for diverse mission profiles.
This follows a major $650 million (€2.3 billion) PULS agreement signed last April with the Hellenic Army, encompassing 36 multi-launch systems and various munitions slated for deployment along Greece's northeastern border and Aegean islands.
