Elad Turgeman and Shir Taran entered "Power Couple" (Reshet 13) when their relationship was already an inseparable part of their life on the web. However, in an interview on the podcast "Suissa + 1" with Eran Suissa, the two admit that the broadcasts and the reactions around the program also penetrated their home.

"Breakup came up three times"

To the question of whether there was talk of a breakup, they replied: "Several times. In this period, it came up about three times." According to the two, neither of them actually left the house. Turgeman describes one of the moments with humor: "I can tell her I'm going to sleep at my mother's, and then she tells me, 'How will you go, the car is mine?' And then I just stay."

But immediately after, the two clarify that behind the joke there were also real confrontations. "We do reach emotional explosions," they say, "but we try to solve things in time and not let one of them just get up and leave." Taran adds: "We project a lot of strength outward, but inside it was not easy for us. Fights and arguments about why we did this or said that — it was all real."

"There is a chance that I am ruining everything we built"

For Taran, the difficulty was also connected to a sense of guilt. She was the one who wanted to participate in the reality show, and Turgeman joined her to fulfill her dream. "There is a chance that I am ruining everything we built here, and the sense of guilt eats from the inside," she shares. Turgeman tried to balance her, reminding her that it was a game, but later in the season, her feeling changed: "The ground was slipping from under my feet, I stopped knowing what was right and what wasn't."

"The reactions on the web did penetrate"

Turgeman says that even before the program, Taran was sure she would know how to deal with the exposure. In practice, it looked different. "I can say that the reactions on the web did penetrate our lives," he admits. Taran, who is used to working as a content creator, notes that this was a new level of negativity for her. It hurt her that even her father, a devoted follower, sent her screenshots of harsh comments.

"I am truly controlling"

Taran also addresses the way her relationship looked on screen: "I am not ashamed to say that I am a strong woman and I stand behind my strength. But I am aware of my limitations. I know that I need to give Elad more space. I know that sometimes I interfere in his things. I need to be quiet for a moment and I am working on it." She admits that sometimes she looks at herself on screen and thinks: "Wow, how unbearable. Shut up a little."

Within the conversation about their dynamics comes a detail that explains quite a bit: the two work on the relationship even off-camera. "We are a young couple, we are still working on the dynamics," they say. "We are going to couples therapy." They explain that the connection between them became very intense quickly, partly because they work together and spend a lot of time with each other.

"This period was more complex than I thought"

Turgeman notes that he struggles with a lack of authenticity in others. Regarding the confrontation with Odia Pinto, Taran is careful to note that she received an apology, and they appreciate people who know how to take responsibility. Turgeman adds: "I really want to release this story. People make mistakes out of emotions, and we move on."

At the end of the interview, he returns to the relationship: "I feel that I closed this period of reality, which was more complex than I thought. But if we are going through these months, nothing can break us. I really know that with her I can go to any war."
