El Al Israel Airlines is resuming its direct flights from Tel Aviv to San Francisco after a six-and-a-half-year hiatus, becoming the sole carrier to offer nonstop service on this lucrative route.

The inaugural flight departs Ben Gurion Airport at 11:00 AM, with the journey taking approximately 15 hours and landing at 4:55 PM local time. One-way economy fares start at $884, operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring economy, premium, and business classes.

With the San Francisco route revival, El Al plans to operate about 45 weekly flights to six US destinations this winter, including New York (JFK and Newark), Miami, Boston, Los Angeles, and now San Francisco.

San Francisco and Silicon Valley serve as crucial technological and economic hubs for the Israeli high-tech ecosystem. The direct connection strengthens business ties, venture capital flows, and corporate R&D partnerships between Israel and California.

Meanwhile, United Airlines is expanding its US-Israel schedule by resuming direct flights from Tel Aviv to Chicago O'Hare and Washington Dulles airports, providing additional connectivity for transatlantic travelers.
