Pop superstar Dua Lipa stunned fans by balancing a glass on her head while performing a traditional Albanian dance at her cousin's wedding in Pristina.
Three months after her luxurious wedding celebrations in Sicily, Dua Lipa spent the weekend celebrating another wedding, this time her cousin's. The pop superstar shared a glimpse of the grand Albanian wedding in Pristina, Kosovo, and nobody expected her choreography skills.
In an Instagram gallery shared with her 88 million followers, Dua posted a video of herself dancing a traditional Albanian folk dance with her 57-year-old father during the reception. Expertly balancing a glass on her head while family and friends cheered her on, the singer stole the show.
Alongside the footage, the star wrote: My cousin married the woman of his dreams and we had a big Albanian wedding!, adding a sentence in Albanian meaning our circle is growing. Fans flooded the comments with praise, calling her our Albanian queen and asking if there is anything she cannot do, while highlighting her zest for life.
Noticeably absent from the family gathering was her newlywed husband, actor Callum Turner. However, the couple is planning a relocation to the US, with Turner recently hinting at plans to start a family with his wife in an interview with Esquire.
The new footage follows her frequent proud nods to her Albanian-Kosovan heritage. Born in London in 1995 after her parents emigrated from Kosovo, she spoke Albanian as her native language before returning to Pristina following the country's declaration of independence in 2008. At 15, she moved back to the UK to pursue her music career. In 2022, she was granted Albanian citizenship by President Bajram Begaj.
