Hamas disarmament prospects: Military correspondent's assessment

Military correspondent Hillel Biton-Rosen was a guest in the open studio on Tuesday, where he presented his assessment regarding the prospects for the Gaza agreement. He expressed skepticism about the possibility of Hamas disarming:

"I do not know of a terrorist organization that threw away its weapons and surrendered."

As previously reported, widening gaps have emerged between the statements of the Peace Council and those of the terrorist organization Hamas. While the Peace Council declared that the disarmament of Hamas serves as a prerequisite for the withdrawal of IDF forces from the "yellow line," the terrorist organization claims the opposite.

Biton-Rosen addressed the issue, stating he does not believe Hamas will disarm:

"This is an organization whose members are willing to die in order to wound me or you."

Explaining the nature of the members of the terrorist organization, Rosen added:

"These are not people who can be deterred, frightened, or subdued – you can only kill them. For three years, there has been talk about international forces entering Gaza. In my opinion, the State of Israel should conclude that we tried and it did not work. Now we must conquer the territory, expel the terror-supporting population, eliminate the terrorists, and settle there. Whoever is not happy with that – good day to them."
