A Thai worker located an unidentified drone, which apparently carried an explosive device and a camera, in the fields near Kibbutz Nahal Oz. This was reported on Monday. The IDF conducted an inspection to determine whether the drone belonged to its own forces or had arrived from the Gaza Strip.

Following the check, the IDF Spokesperson announced:

'It has been confirmed that this is a drone belonging to our forces. There is no security concern, and the incident is under investigation.'

In a message published by Kibbutz Nahal Oz to its community members, it was noted that the drone was found in a field near the kibbutz, and it remains unclear how long it had been there. The kibbutz leadership emphasized that they view the incident with great severity.

According to the residents, the discovery of the drone coincides with the army's decision to once again reduce the defense force for the settlement—a decision they argue does not correspond to the security reality in the area.

'We are standing guard and will not accept developments that undermine our security,' stated the kibbutz's security forum.
