Dobi Frances responds to rumors: "I will set my sights on the role of Prime Minister"

Businessman and investor Dobi Frances does not rule out a future entry into Israeli politics, and even sets his sights on the highest goal. In an interview at the Negev Conference, Frances clarified that a new path in the public sphere may open up for him in the future, but clarified that for now, he remains focused on his business activities and the economic arena.

When asked about reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered him a reserved spot on the Likud list for the Knesset, Frances dismissed the reports briefly, calling them a "press canard." However, when asked about his political ambitions for the future, he revealed his intentions openly and did not hide his aspirations to lead the country.

Frances explained that his main commitment at the moment is to the world of high-tech and investments, which he views as having primary national importance. According to him:

"I have not finished my mission yet. I am having a dramatic impact on Israel even from the business side. Because ultimately, the startups that we both give money to and help grow become category-defining companies that drive the Israeli economy forward."

According to him, his commitment to investors and entrepreneurs is what prevents him from moving into politics right now. "I feel committed to the hundreds of my investors who gave me billions of shekels, to the entrepreneurs I work with to help them reach safety," noted Frances. But immediately after, he stated unequivocally:

"The moment I have done that, there is a not-bad probability that I will run for a political position, and I will set my sights on the role of Prime Minister."

Dobi Frances is known to the public not only as the founder and managing partner of the venture capital fund Group 11, which manages hundreds of millions of dollars and invests in successful technology and fintech companies, but also as one of the most prominent participants in the television show "The Sharks." In recent years, he has become one of the most influential and involved voices in the public and economic arena in Israel, and now clarifies that the political arena is definitely the next destination for him.
