Ten days until the deadline for submitting lists: Nova festival security officer establishes a new party
Elkana Federman, who was wounded by gunfire while providing security at the Nova festival on October 7, has completed the registration of the "Tkuma" party, which will appeal to the right-wing public. "The generation required to fight for the country must be part of the decisions about its future."
Ten days before the deadline for submitting lists to the Knesset, Elkana Federman, son of right-wing activist Noam Federman, is establishing a new party that will compete for votes on the right. On Monday, its registration in the party registry was completed under the name "Path of Vision and Revival - Responsible Leadership for National Security and Civil Resilience."
The party, which will be called "Tkuma" (Revival), seeks, according to its members, to appeal to right-wing voters who support a firm security policy, settlement, and sovereignty, but who also demand governmental responsibility, the drawing of lessons from the events of October 7, an efficient government, and strengthening the connection with the public of those who serve.
Federman seeks to position the party as an alternative to the generation of leadership that served in the years preceding the October 7 massacre and during the war. According to the party's concept, leadership should be measured not only by its declarations but by the responsibility it takes, by the results, and by its ability to execute.
Federman was part of the security detail at the Nova festival at the Re'im parking lot during the October 7 attack and was wounded by gunfire in the pelvic area. According to the party, 11 security guards who were with him were killed and five others were kidnapped. Subsequently, Federman returned to reserve duty and public activity.
"October 7 changed our generation, but Israeli politics has not changed enough," Federman said at the party registration event. "I saw up close what happens when citizens, fighters, and people on the ground are required to take responsibility, while at the same time those who held power and authority continue to compete mainly in slogans."
According to him, "I am not entering politics to be another voice that shouts louder. I want a politics where responsibility, results, and execution are measured. Whoever received power must be held accountable for what they did with it. The generation that was required to fight for the country must also be part of the decisions about its future."
In the coming days, the party is expected to present its full principles and the people who will join it ahead of the submission of the lists.
In the years following October 7, Federman was also active in the "Tzav 9" movement, which worked to block aid trucks on their way to the Gaza Strip. In November 2025, it was reported in "Ha-Yom" that the Hind Rajab Foundation had submitted a request to the Attorney General in Germany for his arrest following his participation in the activity. Federman did not disavow it and said then: "I am proud that I blocked aid trucks for the terrorist organization Hamas." According to the foundation, Federman also served in the Duchifat reconnaissance unit.
