"Dimitris Itoudis does not count on Tamir Blatt, he is in trouble"

Tamir Blatt, who signed a three-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv just about two weeks ago, is not expected to play under Dimitris Itoudis in the upcoming season. According to Vasiliki Karamouza, a sports journalist for the Greek Sport24, Hapoel is looking for another team in the EuroLeague to take the Israeli point guard on loan.

Karamouza posted on social media: "Another story from the EuroLeague that did not receive attention. Dimitris Itoudis does not count on Tamir Blatt, and Hapoel is looking to loan out the 29-year-old guard, who signed a three-year contract just two weeks ago."

BasketNews also added details about the situation, clarifying that even at the time of signing, it was understood that Blatt was not expected to have a role under Itoudis, and that Hapoel's intention was to find him another team in the EuroLeague and loan him out.

However, the timing complicates the task significantly for Hapoel and for the player as well. Most of the top teams in Europe have already completed the bulk of their roster construction, while some clubs have already begun preparations for the new season.

Therefore, the number of available spots on team rosters is significantly smaller than it was earlier in the summer. Hapoel will need to find a team that not only has an open spot for an additional guard but is also willing to take on at least part of Blatt's significant salary.
