During the program 'The Patriots' on Channel 14, a sharp confrontation took place yesterday between panelists Guy Meroz and Itamar Fleischmann, as host Yinon Magal tried to take control of the stormy discussion. Meroz opened by criticizing previous statements made by Fleischmann regarding an IDF general, and wondered why Magal did not react sharply.

'How can one speak like that about an IDF general? I do not see any terribly outraged reaction from you as a statesmanlike host when these things happen,' Meroz asked.

Magal, for his part, tried to fend off the claims and emphasized that he always allows Meroz to express himself freely, and even insisted that he be on the program despite objections: 'I insisted that you be on the program and say what you want.'

However, the discussion quickly escalated when Fleischmann responded with a sharp personal attack against Meroz, calling him 'one of the most violent, crude people with the ugliest speech in the history of Israeli media.' The atmosphere in the studio reached a peak when Fleischmann issued an ultimatum to Magal: 'This thing will end now, either you let me speak, or you don't let me speak.'

Magal tried to calm Fleischmann down and asked him to speak 'calmly,' but Fleischmann continued in high tones. At a certain point, Magal was forced to shout at him: 'Get out, get out, you, get out, you won't enter, enough.' The confrontation ended as Magal tried to restore order to the studio, but the tension between the panelists remained in the air.
