Jewish rioters barricaded themselves in a Palestinian home in Qusra: injuries reported
Riots in the West Bank village resumed following clashes between Jewish rioters and Palestinians. IDF and Border Police forces intervened to separate the sides, confiscated the rioters' vehicles, and launched an investigation.
Riots by Jewish rioters in the village of Qusra (Binyamin region) resumed on Saturday. In a joint statement, the IDF and Border Police spokespersons reported:
"IDF and Border Police forces rushed to the village of Qusra following reports of Israeli rioters arriving in the area and engaging in violent friction, which included stone-throwing at Palestinians and other civilians."
Upon arrival, forces identified dozens of rioters who had barricaded themselves inside a Palestinian home while residents were still inside. Reports were received regarding injured Palestinians, including a woman who sustained minor injuries and was evacuated by the Red Crescent for medical treatment.
Security forces acted to remove the rioters from the house and separate the groups to protect the occupants.
In addition, security forces confiscated the vehicles suspected of being used by the rioters to reach the village. These vehicles, along with other evidence collected at the scene, have been transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police for an ongoing investigation.
IDF and Border Police forces continue to operate in the vicinity of Qusra and Jalud (Samaria Brigade) to prevent further unrest and restore order. The IDF Spokesperson stated: "The IDF strongly condemns any form of violence."
