The poll is the first to examine the political map after the launch of Ofer Winter's party, which receives 4% of the votes, crossing the electoral threshold. Additionally, 68% of the public gave a poor grade to the education system ahead of the new school year.


IDF: Rioters barricaded themselves in a Palestinian home in Qusra

IDF and Border Police forces rushed to the village of Qusra following reports of Israeli rioters throwing stones at Palestinians. The rioters barricaded themselves in a Palestinian home while residents were inside. No arrests were made, but the rioters' vehicles were confiscated. In the village of Jalud, rioters attacked and injured foreign journalists.

Several Palestinians were injured, including a woman evacuated by the Red Crescent. Footage shows rioters in masks and black clothing. The IDF stated that forces acted to remove the rioters and separate them from the occupants. The vehicles suspected of being used by the rioters were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police for investigation.

The second meeting with Gantz in a week was defined as positive.


Rain, hail, and tornadoes: Uncharacteristic August weather

Israel is approaching a rain system uncharacteristic for August. The focus of activity will be in the north, with rain expected in the center during the night. Lightning, thunder, local hail, spot flooding, and land or water tornadoes are expected, mainly near the coast.

Most areas will see 1 to 5 mm of rain, but 20 to 30 mm or more is possible in specific spots. In Cyprus, the national warning system CY-Alert was activated following powerful thunderstorms, and a water tornado was observed off the coast of Larnaca.


Fatal car accident near Karmiel

Two men in their 30s were killed in a severe car accident on Route 854 near Moshav Lapidot. Another man in his 30s was seriously injured and evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Northern District police have opened an investigation, and the road remains blocked in both directions.
