Group of Israelis illegally crosses border into Lebanon amid IDF strikes

Amid the drama unfolding in southern Lebanon, where the IDF has launched a wave of strikes following what it described as a "flagrant violation" by Hezbollah, a group of Israeli minors—mostly girls—crossed the border into southern Lebanon. IDF forces, together with police, are currently pursuing them in an attempt to return them to the Israeli side.

Activists claim that dozens of people crossed the border—an act that constitutes a violation of the law—and that the group includes families. One member of the group, who crossed with a toddler, has been detained. It should be noted that several similar incidents have occurred in recent months, placing an additional burden on soldiers in the field. So far, the IDF has not officially commented on the incident, which takes place against a backdrop of high tension with Hezbollah.

An organization called "Uri Tzafon" ("Awaken, North"), which advocates for the establishment of settlements in southern Lebanon, stated this afternoon:

"Stop talking about capabilities and start focusing on intentions! For years we have been accustomed to talking about the enemy's capabilities: how many missiles, how many fighters, how many tunnels. But a capability is only a tool. What determines the outcome is the intention. A rifle lying in a warehouse kills no one. The one who kills is the terrorist who pulls the trigger. When the enemy declares again and again that his goal is for us not to be here, there is no point in analyzing only his weapons. One must understand the meaning of his intentions. The answer is not just another weapon system or blowing up hidden tunnels. The answer is also creating a reality in which we are rooted deeper in our land. It is in our hands!"
