"General outlines for a deal reached": Trump canceled the attack on Iran

US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has decided to cancel a large-scale military attack on Iran. The decision follows progress in diplomatic contacts and requests received from Iran and various Middle Eastern countries. According to CNN, prior to the decision, Trump spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

On his social network, Truth Social, the American president wrote: "The United States is prepared to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran with levels of military force and power not seen since World War II. Despite this, we have been asked not to attack after an agreement was reached on the general outlines of a deal. This includes the immediate and absolute opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of the nuclear threat from Iran."

Trump added: "Based on this request, I have agreed to cancel the attack for the sake of the world's future and the survival of a prosperous Iran, subject to the ability to reach an agreement quickly."

Diplomatic efforts are also continuing on the Iranian side. Reports indicate that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held overnight talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the commander of the Pakistani army, and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
