Dozens arrived on foot, set fire and fled: Another incident involving Jewish radicals in the West Bank

Jewish radicalism in the West Bank: Early Friday morning, a group of activists operated in Wadi Rahim, setting fire to engineering equipment and spraying slogans on the walls of a building, including the phrase "Mutual Responsibility." IDF forces called to the scene failed to apprehend the perpetrators, who fled before the troops arrived. Police and Shin Bet investigators are expected to arrive at the site shortly.
According to Palestinian reports on social media, "at night, settlers who arrived from the Susiya outposts attacked near Wadi Rahim, set fire to heavy equipment and sprayed graffiti."
Footage from the incident shows several dozen activists arriving and leaving the scene on foot. The IDF stated that the military unit conducted searches, but the perpetrators had fled minutes before their arrival.
As recalled, a week and a half ago, clashes broke out between IDF and police forces and right-wing activists in the village of Qusra, near Ramallah. Security forces arrived at night to evacuate tents set up at the entrance to the homes of two families, which the activists claimed was a new outpost.
Members of the Palestinian families reported being under siege by the activists in recent days. They further claimed that the activists sabotaged the electricity supply and disconnected the homes from the water supply.
A battalion of the Golani Brigade and Border Police units guarded the village throughout the night to prevent activists from reaching it. During the night, forces evacuated about a hundred people. IDF sources admitted that despite the severity of the actions, which included laying siege to the homes of three families and damaging electrical and water infrastructure, no one involved was arrested.
