The connection between the two began even before they met face-to-face, during the difficult and complex days that marked the beginning of their journey. Now, as they walk together under the chuppah tomorrow (Thursday), their relationship stands as a symbol of strength, renewal, and love.
The initial spark ignited in the first weeks after October 7, 2023. Daniel, a leading food blogger and businesswoman known for "Pasta Daniel Amit," arrived at the evacuation complex in Shefayim to support the residents of Kfar Aza and prepare them a pot of comforting pasta. There, friends of Emily, who was then a hostage in Gaza, told her how much Emily admired her and her work.
Daniel filmed a special video of support, and from that moment on, Emily entered her heart, becoming a symbol of hope that she prayed for every day. Daniel later shared that she checked her old Instagram messages and saw that Emily had indeed been sending her messages on a regular basis.
Their personal miracle took a surprising turn after Emily's release from captivity in January 2025. Emily watched a television interview in which Daniel said she was single and looking for a relationship, and decided to message her on Instagram: "Daniel, does it work with girls too?" The light flirting online quickly turned into a real meeting. For Daniel, who entered into her first relationship with a woman, the connection and the first kiss changed everything. The falling in love was immediate, natural, and deep.
Since their relationship was revealed in the summer of 2025, the two have become inseparable. Emily moved into Daniel's renovated 90-square-meter apartment in the heart of Tel Aviv, a home designed specifically for her cooking and hosting needs. They built a routine wrapped in support, honesty, and even a healthy, dark humor that helped process the trauma of captivity. The relationship grew by leaps and bounds, reaching its peak with a double and moving proposal; Emily proposed first, and less than a day later, Daniel surprised her back with a ring of her own.
Their shared path continued to flourish on both a professional and personal level. They signed a prenuptial agreement in a mature and responsible manner, were chosen to serve as presenters for the "Design Center" complex in their first couple's campaign, and announced their intention to move together to a new, larger apartment.
