Talk and rumors surrounding the sexual orientation of David Dvir, the veteran judge of "Dancing with the Stars," have followed him throughout his career. In an interview for the program "Ofira and Ohana" on Channel 12, the dancer and choreographer decided to put an end to the speculation and address the subject directly.
During the conversation, Ofira Assayag asked him about the public's perception of him, noting that his meticulous grooming leads some to question his sexual identity. Dvir explained that his affinity for a well-groomed appearance stems from a deep, lifelong love for aesthetics. He acknowledged that in the dance world, there is often an automatic "labeling" of sexual orientation, but he clarified that this is far from the truth:
"Look, I am well-groomed because I love aesthetics very much. From a very young age I loved aesthetics, and yes, there is a labeling of being gay. But I am not, what can you do?"
To clarify his stance, Dvir emphasized the stability of his family life. He has been married for over fifty years to his wife, Dalia, and they have two daughters and four grandchildren. When asked how his wife reacts to the rumors, he answered that the subject does not bother her at all or affect their relationship; she simply chooses to ignore the media buzz.
Furthermore, the reality show judge revealed that he constantly receives advances from both men and women. According to him, his response to every romantic approach remains unequivocal: he politely clarifies that he is simply "not interested." He summarized his approach to life and relationships in a short and clear sentence: "I am a one-woman man."
