In the Arab world, a video of an Israeli soldier was circulated — and then the truth was revealed

In recent days, a video has been circulating on Arab social media showing a woman dismantling and smashing an air conditioner attached to a wall. The footage was presented as evidence of the behavior of Israelis abroad. One of the accounts that distributed the video is Quds News Network, which has more than 600,000 followers.

Alongside the footage, it was claimed that this was an "Israeli soldier who traveled using a foreign passport," who was allegedly asked to leave a rental property in Italy after the owners discovered her identity. According to the same narrative, before leaving, she vandalized the apartment and caused heavy damage.

The publication sparked a wave of sharp reactions from users, many of whom accepted the claim as absolute truth:

"I don't understand why the hell you are just standing there instead of hitting her properly," wrote one of the commenters. Another user added: "That air conditioner was so expensive. I hope she was forced to pay for all the damages."

Other reactions were even more extreme. One user wrote that "it's funny how they love to film themselves committing crimes. They are so arrogant. They think they are untouchable," while other commenters used harsh derogatory terms for Israelis.

However, an examination of the video's source reveals a completely different picture. The footage is not related to an Israeli soldier or an event that took place in Italy. The video was published more than a month ago on the TikTok account of a woman named Silvana Black, without any explanation regarding the circumstances of the incident.

Despite the lack of any evidence linking the video to Israel, it was presented on Arab networks as if it were a real event. It received tens of thousands of views and angry comments, serving as another example of how footage without context can quickly become a tool for spreading misinformation on social media.
