Danny Kushmaro embarrassed on air: "Because of the excitement"
The veteran and beloved news anchor of Keshet 12 was caught in an unexpected moment at the end of the main edition, and was quick to respond on social media to the amusing mistake that managed to surprise even him.
Danny Kushmaro, one of the anchors most identified with News 12, is currently marking 25 years on screen, but it turns out that even after a quarter of a century in front of the cameras, he too has amusing slips of the tongue. In a new story he uploaded to social media, Kushmaro shared an amusing moment from the end of the main edition that managed to make even him laugh.
In the video, Kushmaro is seen finishing the main edition and handing over the broadcast to the program "Married at First Sight" (Hatuna MiMabat Rishon). However, instead of the sentence going smoothly, the words that came out of his mouth sounded as if he said "Cat at First Sight" (Hatula MiMabat Rishon). The small mistake did not escape his notice, and he chose to address it himself in an Instagram story.
"Maybe because of the excitement, it came out as a kind of 'Cat at First Sight'," Kushmaro wrote in the story, referring to the amusing slip and clarifying that even after many years in the field, sometimes one sentence can come out a little differently than planned.
Kushmaro, who has already become one of the most identified faces of the main news edition, continues to prove that he is not just a news anchor. During last June, he surprised the guests at a particularly happy event when he went up to the chuppah and served as a rabbi at the wedding of a Hapoel Be'er Sheva player.
The event took place against the backdrop of the team's championship celebrations, when the happy player celebrated the win together with the guests. Kushmaro took a central part in the chuppah ceremony and added an unusual moment to the event, which illustrates his place outside the news studio as well.
Now, with the new story, Kushmaro provides viewers with another glimpse into his light and amusing side, and reminds us that even a veteran anchor with 25 years of experience in front of the camera can sometimes confuse "wedding" (hatuna) with "cat" (hatula).
