Daniel Has Been Missing for 5 Years: Family Pleads for Public Assistance
Daniel Klein disappeared in 2020, and all contact with him has been lost since. His family has turned to the public for help, stating that the police have not pursued the case.
Five years have passed since the traces of 44-year-old Daniel Klein disappeared. Since then, his Facebook account has been deactivated, his phone line disconnected, and essentially every piece of information that could have led to him has vanished.
The case of the disappearance of the child Yuval Kogan last week has reignited the issue of many Israelis whose whereabouts have remained unknown for years. The Klein family turned to social media with an urgent request:
"We believe that someone saw him, someone spoke to him, someone knows something."
Over the last day, numerous posts have been distributed across various groups nationwide, containing one request: assistance in the search. "Do you recognize the man in the picture? For five years we have been searching for our brother, Daniel Klein. He is 44 years old today," the message stated. "Five years during which Mom has not slept at night, and every day ends with the question: where is Daniel? In 2020, all contact with him was completely cut off."
"Before he disappeared, Daniel was very thin and wore a beard. It is possible that today he looks completely different, with or without a beard, with different hair," the family noted. "We believe it is possible that he left Tel Aviv and moved to another city. Daniel loved the sea very much, so it is possible that he chose to live near it. He worked in website development and had clients who highly valued his work."
"There is not a day that our mother does not think about him," they added with concern. "There is not a day that she does not pray for only one thing: to see her son again, to hug him, and to know that he is alive and safe." According to the family, the police refuse to handle their inquiries despite repeated requests. "We reached out to everyone who knew him, but to this day we do not have even one sign that would tell us what became of him," they continued with sadness.
"We believe in the power of social media. We believe that someone saw him," they concluded. "Someone spoke to him. Someone worked with him. Someone knows something. If you recognize Daniel, or know any detail about him, please send us a private message. Until we find Daniel, we will not stop searching. Please, help us bring him home."
