Dan Shilon under fire: "A toxic inciter, lonely and miserable"
After Dan Shilon called presenter Sharon Gal a "piece of an idiot," he faced sharp criticism from screenwriter Meni Assayag. Assayag stated that Shilon, sinking into oblivion, is trying to grab attention with toxic remarks.

After calling Sharon Gal a "piece of an idiot," Dan Shilon is facing harsh criticism from Meni Assayag:
"What I think frustrates this grumpy old man and toxic inciter the most: that Sharon Gal is sitting in the place he once sat and is doing it with more eloquence, talent, and grace, while he is diving into the abyss of oblivion, full of bitterness, lonely and miserable, who no longer interests anyone."
Previously, presenter Sharon Gal, who had already clashed with writer Eyal Megged, led a stormy interview with media personality Dan Shilon. The conversation was prompted by an unusual Facebook post in which Shilon compared Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Nicolae Ceaușescu.
During an interview on the i24NEWS channel, Gal asked Shilon to comment on the comparison between Netanyahu's trip to Washington and the escape of the former Romanian dictator. During the exchange, Shilon lost his patience and resorted to personal insults on live broadcast:
"Tell me, do you know that you are a piece of an idiot? An idiot, I have no other word."
Later, the veteran media personality attacked the television channel and its staff, calling them a "bunch of idiots" for continuing to focus on his post against Netanyahu. The incident sparked a significant reaction on social media. Screenwriter Meni Assayag, known as the creator of the series "The 80s," shared his thoughts on his X account:
"I will explain to you what I think frustrates this grumpy old man and toxic inciter the most: that Sharon Gal (yes, this Mizrahi guy from Tirat Carmel) is sitting in the place he once sat, and is doing it with more eloquence, talent, and grace, while he is diving into the abyss of oblivion, full of bitterness, lonely and miserable, who no longer interests anyone, which causes him to incite like a madman so that they remember he is still alive. A golem in a circle."
