Blow to Arkia: Senior Vice President leaves post after less than a year
Spir Ifragan has announced her departure after a short tenure overseeing revenue, route networks, and commercial operations at the Israeli airline. The company has not yet provided a response.
In recent weeks, the Israeli airline Arkia has been at the center of a media storm following numerous passenger complaints regarding disruptions, delays, and flight changes made without prior notice.
In response, Arkia announced improvements to its customer service and appointed Mira Pizitzki as the new director of customer experience and service. While the company publicly aims to enhance service and expand its teams, significant changes are occurring behind the scenes.
Spir Ifragan, Arkia’s commercial vice president, announced today (Monday) that she is stepping down from her role after less than a year. Ifragan, who was appointed in November 2025, was responsible for revenue management, route networks, and the airline’s commercial and wholesale activities. Upon taking the position, she succeeded Mike Homotzani, who had served as commercial vice president for nearly five years.
Prior to joining Arkia, Ifragan held senior positions in the Budget Division at the Ministry of Finance.
Arkia has not yet provided a response to the news.
