Airline in an important notice: "All flights are canceled until September 15"

While many airlines have already returned to Israel or announced their return, some companies are choosing to avoid risks and are extending their flight cancellations. Among them is the Portuguese carrier, which has announced that it will not resume operations until at least the holidays.

After many foreign airlines canceled flights to Israel following the conflict with Iran, Ben Gurion Airport continues to recover, and many international carriers have resumed operations from Tel Aviv.

Against the backdrop of rising security tensions in recent days and preparations for a potential escalation in the war against Iran, a number of airlines have chosen to avoid risks and postpone their return to Israel. One such carrier is the Portuguese airline TAP Air Portugal, which announced that all flights on the Tel Aviv–Lisbon route will remain suspended at least until September 15.

The company stated that passengers holding TAP tickets are entitled to one free change without any price difference on the same route. This policy applies to flights operated by TAP and TAP Express. "Passengers eligible for the updated policy will be able to make one change to their booking at no cost, and it is also possible to select a new travel date, provided it falls within the ticket’s validity period," the statement read.

As a reminder, the Lufthansa Group recently announced a significant increase in its activity in Israel ahead of August. The main surprise is the return of SWISS for the first time since March, when it suspended operations due to Operation "Shagat Aryeh". The company landed last night at Ben Gurion Airport on a flight from Zurich, Switzerland.
