Flight Cancellations

Thousands of Israelis were disappointed to learn of the continued cancellation of the flight route connecting Tel Aviv and Lisbon. TAP Air Portugal, which was scheduled to return in about a month, has decided to postpone its resumption of service to the country.

Air Canada has extended the cancellation of its flights to Israel until mid-January 2027. The planned resumption of service at Ben Gurion Airport, originally set for October 2026, has been postponed again, leaving Israel without direct air links to Canada.

While many airlines have already returned to Israel or announced their return, some companies are choosing to avoid risks and are extending their flight cancellations. Among them is the Portuguese carrier, which has announced that it will not resume operations until at least the holidays.
