"As they did in the south": The law Bennett proposes for frontline communities
Naftali Bennett toured frontline communities in the north and presented a move to promote a dedicated law for the rehabilitation and development of the region, similar to the Tkuma Law in the south. According to him, the law will bind government ministries and include implementation mechanisms: "Not just another work plan that remains on paper."
Chairman of the "Bechad" party, Naftali Bennett, held a security tour on Monday in the northern frontline communities and presented the Frontline Communities Law.
Bennett met with residents in the towns of Nahariya and Shlomi, arriving at the request of the Frontline Forum chairman, Moshe Davidovich, to hear their needs. Bennett listened to the demands of the local authority heads regarding the rehabilitation and development of the North and presented a unique move to promote the Frontline Law, similar to the Tkuma Law in the south, to turn the northern frontline into a thriving region that will attract businesses and young families from all over the country.
Joining the tour were "Bechad" members led by Bennett: MKs Merav Ben Ari and Naor Shiri, Nissan Zeevi, a resident of Kfar Giladi and founder of the 1701 lobby and the "Home - Returning to the Galilee" movement, Liran Avishar Ben-Horin, former Director General of the Ministry of Communications, and Bruria Naim Arman, Director General of the "Bechad" party and a candidate on the list.
Former Prime Minister Bennett stated:
"Today we presented the Frontline Communities Law to the residents. Not just another work plan that remains on paper, but a fundamental and deep law with implementation mechanisms like they did in the south. A law that will turn the northern frontline into a place where communities thrive and young families flock to it, will bind all government ministries, and is ready for immediate implementation the moment we replace the outgoing government. The people of the frontline deserve a government that sees them. Together we will fix it."
Nissan Zeevi, a candidate on the "Bechad" list, added:
"We came to hear the needs and demands and integrate them into the Frontline Law. Everyone understands what needs to be done, we are also bringing the 'how'. Not more non-binding government decisions, but a law exactly like they did in the south, which includes an implementation mechanism and will bind all government ministries. We don't have time for more promises and plans. Bennett has already proven his implementation capabilities to everyone when he was PM, and therefore such a move will allow for a quick start to the rehabilitation and growth of all frontline communities."
