According to Similarweb data, July saw intriguing changes in the most visited websites in Israel. A notable development is the return of Wikipedia to the top 10, at the expense of Gemini, which has yet to reach the same level of dominance as ChatGPT. News sites have taken a slight hit, with Walla dropping one position, N12 falling three, and Channel 14 remaining unstable in the rankings.

Performance Trends

Interestingly, Kan 11 remains strong at the top, even though nearly half of July took place after the World Cup concluded. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues into August.

In the "battle for knowledge," Gemini failed to maintain its previous month's achievement of breaking into the top 10, leading to a surprising comeback for Wikipedia. Kan 11 maintains its strength at 13th place, while the Sports Channel (Sport 5) also holds a strong position, despite dropping one spot to 14th. The N12 news site suffered a three-place drop, losing ground to the X network (Twitter), the adult site Pornhub—which rose one spot—and the strengthening AliExpress. The government site Gov.il remains in the top tier, and TikTok has returned to the top 20, displacing Channel 14.

Top 10 Sites in Israel

Google and YouTube continue to lead the rankings, while ynet maintains its place as the largest and most powerful news site in Israel. Facebook and Instagram remain high, ahead of Mako, the second-largest news site in the country. ChatGPT has risen to 7th place, pushing Walla down to 8th.

Other notable rankings include:

  • Channel 14 — 21st place

  • Israel Hayom — 23rd place

  • One — 30th place

  • Stripchat — 36th place

  • XHamster — 37th place

  • Reshet 13 has exited the top 50.

In the USA, the top 3 remain Google, YouTube, and Facebook. They are followed by Amazon, Reddit, Bing, Yahoo, Instagram, X (Twitter), and ChatGPT, which rounds out the top ten.
