Nine protesters were arrested this evening, Saturday, during clashes with police forces on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv. The arrests occurred after several demonstrators moved onto the roadway and blocked traffic, defying instructions from officers on the scene.

The demonstration took place without prior approval or coordination with law enforcement. During the protest, participants occupied the road, preventing the passage of vehicles. Police ordered those present to clear the lane and cease obstructing traffic, but some protesters refused to comply.

Following the refusal to disperse, police and Border Police forces began clearing the demonstrators from the road using force. By the end of the clashes, nine people had been arrested on suspicion of disturbing public order and blocking a traffic lane.

Shortly after the area was cleared, the road was reopened to traffic. The police stated that while they remain committed to upholding the right to protest within the framework of the law, they will not tolerate the blocking of roads or any behavior that endangers the public and drivers.
