Illegal Aliens in Sharon Region: 18 Arrested in Police Raid
Raids conducted in Tayibe and Qalansawe led to the arrest of 18 illegal aliens, some after they attempted to flee upon the arrival of forces. In other locations, a Glock pistol, ammunition, magazines, and 77,800 shekels in cash were located. Alongside these, airsoft weapons and a substance suspected to be cannabis were also seized.
Large forces of the National Guard of the Border Police and officers of the Central District raided a series of locations in Tayibe and Qalansawe on Monday. The operation, which continued in several arenas simultaneously, ended with the arrests of illegal aliens and the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and tens of thousands of shekels in cash.
In one of the residential buildings in Qalansawe, five illegal aliens were located. According to the police, upon the arrival of the forces, they attempted to flee the scene. Together with them, a 44-year-old resident of Qalansawe, suspected of employing them, was arrested. Later in the operation, 13 additional illegal aliens were located in Tayibe and Qalansawe, who were arrested and transferred for questioning.
In another house in Qalansawe, the forces found airsoft weapons resembling a pistol and a rifle, three pistol holsters, a weapon strap, and a magazine. A substance suspected to be cannabis weighing about 73 grams was also seized at the scene. A 23-year-old resident of Nesher was detained for questioning.
In another location in Qalansawe, 5.56 mm ammunition was seized in bulk, alongside a sum of 77,800 shekels in cash. Following the findings, a 20-year-old resident of Qalansawe was arrested.
In an open area, combat equipment was also found. The forces located a Glock-type pistol, two full magazines, 33 Ruger bullets of 7.65 mm caliber, 50 9 mm bullets, and an additional magazine. The weapons and ammunition were seized and transferred for further examination.
Parallel to the criminal activity, traffic enforcement was also carried out in the area. 15 reports were issued for various offenses, including riding electric bicycles without a helmet, riding under the permitted age, and using a mobile phone while driving.
Tayibe: Female motorcyclist caught without a driver's license
In Tayibe, a female motorcyclist was also checked, and during the check, it turned out that she had never obtained a driver's license. She was arrested for questioning and subsequently released under conditions. The motorcycle was seized and impounded for 30 days.
The operation ended with a series of arrests and seizures, reflecting once again the familiar combination in the area between illegal stay, combat equipment, and cash. The suspects were transferred for further questioning, and the police will now examine the connection between the findings and those involved in each location.
