"Arrogant dog - let him go home": The message from Gideon Sa'ar that was sent by mistake to Raviv Drucker
The journalist revealed on air a message he received after midnight from the Foreign Minister, which he claims was sent to him by mistake and subsequently deleted: "Arrogant dog, let him go home himself." Drucker estimated that the message was intended for Ahmad Tibi and attacked Likud members for their "hypocrisy."
After criticizing Ahmad Tibi in his latest column, Channel 13 news journalist Raviv Drucker received a surprising message from Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar. In his program "War Room," Drucker revealed the content of the messages, which were later deleted by the minister.
On the program, Drucker said: "After midnight, I received an SMS from Gideon Sa'ar. This hasn't happened in a long time. Sa'ar sent a link to my opinion column from yesterday against Ahmad Tibi and added 'warm' words:
'Arrogant dog, let him go home himself'."
Drucker explained that he immediately understood it was a mistake: "You don't have to be a genius to understand that Sa'ar didn't intend to send this to me, but intended to send it to Ahmad Tibi. To Tibi's credit, it must be said that he knew how to maintain relationships with senior Likud members all these years. Even Miri Regev is a kind of friend of Tibi, and he uses this from time to time to achieve things for the Arab society, and that is good."
Finally, he wondered what the interest of the ruling party members is in being in close contact with Tibi: "But them, the Likudniks, what do they get from the relationship with him? And how hypocritical can one be to run the same campaign for twenty years already of 'Bibi or Tibi' and late at night actually wish for Tibi to stay in the Knesset? Around one-thirty at night, Sa'ar deleted the SMS, but the stain on his forehead he will never be able to erase."
This is not the first time Sa'ar has been at the center of Drucker's monologue on the program. As recalled, last June, Drucker sharply criticized Sa'ar, claiming between the lines that he is an ineffective Foreign Minister lacking personal charm at the worst possible time. "In a time of fighting, when our foreign relations are so tense, you really need an effective Foreign Minister who, thanks to his personal charm and personal connections, manages to bridge real disagreements. We - how cruel the dice can be - have Gideon Sa'ar," Drucker said with sarcasm.
