Change in Maccabi Tel Aviv's training plan: Will Asante return to the lineup?
The Yellows have decided to cancel the day off ahead of the match against CSKA Sofia. The Dutchman may start for the first time this season, and Kenny Miller will assess his condition before Thursday.

Maccabi Tel Aviv begins preparations this morning (Sunday) for the match against CSKA Sofia in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. The first of the two matches will be held at their new "home" stadium in Batumi. As per their usual routine, the Cup holders will hold their final training session on Wednesday morning at Kiryat Shalom before flying to Georgia in the afternoon.
The club is still awaiting a decision regarding ticket sales for both their own fans and those of CSKA Sofia. According to the original plan, Maccabi Tel Aviv was supposed to give the players a day off the day after tomorrow, but it was ultimately decided that the players would rest at home yesterday and train continuously from this morning until the match on Thursday.
During today's training, coach Kenny Miller will be able to assess the situation regarding the three players who did not travel with the team to Batumi last week. Primarily, this concerns Tyrese Asante, who may start for the first time this season on Thursday, depending on his fitness levels. The player contracted a virus over a week ago, which affected him for several days. He remained behind to rest, and the coaching staff will need to evaluate his readiness this week before deciding whether to return him to the lineup.
Asante continues to attract interest from several Italian teams, led by Monza, which submitted a financial offer of around three million euros—a sum that Maccabi Tel Aviv considers too low for the Dutchman.
