It's over: Karin Greenberg and her partner have separated
A year after they officially became a couple — a new-old love story that arrived half a year after Greenberg announced her divorce from her ex-husband and father of her two children — it has become known that she and her partner have decided to separate. The former couple has a very long history.
Karin Greenberg (35), the older sister of Daniel Greenberg, and her partner for the past year, Shmuel (37), have decided to separate, as it was revealed this Sunday. The two, who had shared a photogenic and loving relationship, have already removed all their joint photos from their Instagram accounts.
Shmuel is actually a childhood friend of Greenberg. They grew up together in the town of Omer, studied together in high school, and he was even her first boyfriend at the age of 14 — and her first kiss, as she has shared in the past. Over the years they drifted apart; Shmuel got married, had three children, divorced, and became religious.
Greenberg's "new-old" love story began after she announced to her followers in October 2024 that she and her ex-husband, Nir Mizrahi, had decided to divorce after ten years of marriage and two children together — Maya (10) and Liam (7). Greenberg shared at the time that the divorce stemmed from the realization that they were no longer the same people who had married.
Despite the difficulty of the breakup, the two went through a particularly respectful and orderly divorce process. In February 2025, they appeared together at the Rabbinical Court in Rehovot and closed that long chapter of their lives with a hug and a kiss on the steps of the Rabbinate. Greenberg emphasized more than once that everything was done by consent, love, and respect, and that they remained good friends and devoted parents to their children. Half a year later, she entered into the relationship with Shmuel, which has now come to an end.
