Shneur Barbi, a 16-year-old teenager, has received an official and binding exemption from the Compulsory Education Law following his business success and demonstrated financial independence. This is an exceptional case in which a young entrepreneur receives official recognition from the education system to leave the school framework in favor of managing an independent business.
In a video published on social media, Barbi described the unusual agreement he made with his parents regarding his studies:
"I made a deal with my parents that if I reach a profit of 20,000 shekels a month, I can drop out of school."
In an interview with the program "HaOlam HaBoker," Barbi explained the reason for his departure:
"It hurts my business. I am leaving my studies behind and focusing more on the business."
Regarding his profession, he said he teaches marketing to business owners, helping them generate an audience and strengthen their online presence. Having reached his income goal, he added that he is not afraid of instability:
"I am an entrepreneur. I don't build on my profession but on myself."
When asked about his connection with children his age and the reactions to his decision, he replied that he receives many messages daily, but added: "I am not saying that this is a calculated step that is suitable for every child."
