American media personality Tucker Carlson claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is exerting intense pressure on US President Donald Trump to launch a nuclear strike against Iran for political survival. Writing on X, Carlson alleged that the Trump administration might be days away from a nuclear attack on Iran, targeting the Kuh-e Malek Siah mountain in central Iran where nuclear enrichment activities are reportedly resuming.

According to Carlson, no conventional US weapon can penetrate the underground facilities, leaving a nuclear option as the sole military recourse. He asserted that Netanyahu initiates daily calls to Trump, pushing top officials including US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to support the operation. Carlson claimed Netanyahu's domestic political survival depends on such escalation, following election results that complicate coalition formation.

Carlson added that Middle Eastern allies, including the United Arab Emirates, strongly oppose the move, warning that a nuclear strike would severely disrupt global energy markets, contaminate regional water supplies, and trigger catastrophic geopolitical retaliation from nations such as Russia and North Korea.
