One of the challenges for hotels around the world is dealing with the urge of some guests to pack in their suitcases not only their personal belongings, but also items from the hotel. Some are guilty of taking bathrobes, spa slippers, soaps, and shampoo bottles.

In the IDF, it was discovered in recent days that soldiers in the reserve commando brigade, who operated in recent months in the western sector of southern Lebanon as part of the move to capture the town of Majdal Zoun, stayed in a luxury hotel on the Lebanese coast, which had been evacuated of guests and staff at the beginning of the war.

The hotel, rated four stars, was used for a period as a "defensive position" for the forces. According to soldiers' testimonies, at some point, the commando brigade soldiers discovered the housekeeping storage room, where bathrobes and slippers used by hotel guests receiving spa treatments were stored.

In addition, the soldiers found packages of soap and shampoo bottles. According to the testimonies, many soldiers took the spa robes and slippers as a souvenir from the fighting in Lebanon. The robes were not taken home, but were transferred to one of the containers for company equipment.

The brigade's soldiers received much appreciation for their part in the fighting in the western sector and for exposing the UAV airport, which was built deep underground beneath Majdal Zoun. It is a huge complex that the soldiers worked to destroy.

However, the IDF did not like hearing the information that some of the soldiers took items such as robes, slippers, soaps, and shampoo bottles from the hotel. It was learned by Maariv that the IDF did not approve of the report about taking products from the hotel, and the brigade commanders opened an investigation into the matter.
