A wildlife rescuer in Brisbane successfully saved a baby koala from the coils of a 1.5-meter python while its mother frantically scratched the snake to intervene. Nell was walking her dog in Whites Hill Reserve when she heard a commotion about 15 meters off the path and rushed to investigate.

Upon arriving, she discovered the python wrapped tightly around the joey as the mother koala tried desperately to free her offspring. Acting quickly, Nell lifted the young koala and began unwinding the snake's grip from its body, eventually finding herself holding the reptile in one hand while the rescued baby clung to her shoulder.

A passerby stepped in to watch the dog, allowing Nell to safely place the python onto a nearby tree after confirming the joey was breathing and moving its limbs. She then brought the baby close to the tree where the mother was waiting, and the young koala immediately climbed back into her embrace.

Returning an hour later to check on them, Nell found the mother and baby resting together in a heartwarming reunion. While the viral footage sparked online debate regarding human intervention in nature, Nell emphasized that the python was unharmed and urged the public to support wildlife conservation.
