9-Year-Old Boy Rescued from Three-Meter Pit at Adullam Park
A 9-year-old boy from Tel Aviv was rescued after falling into a three-meter-deep pit at Adullam Park and being trapped for two hours. He was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in mild condition.

A complex rescue operation took place at the Adullam Park when a 9-year-old boy from Tel Aviv fell into a pit over three meters deep and remained trapped for about two hours. The child sustained injuries while hiking at Khirbet Shu'a in the park and was later evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in stable, mild condition.
Volunteers from the Israel Police Etzion-Yehuda rescue unit, alongside Border Police officers from the Mateh Yehuda station, rushed to the scene to conduct the operation. Although rescue teams reached the remote area using off-road vehicles, the depth of the pit and the challenging terrain required specialized preparation.
Members of the unit's rope-access and rescue team, working in coordination with the Fire and Rescue Services specialized unit, set up a dedicated rigging system. A volunteer paramedic from the rescue unit was lowered into the pit to provide initial medical treatment. The boy was fully conscious and suffering from injuries to his upper body.
Following the preliminary medical care, the boy was secured to a specialized stretcher and hoisted out of the pit using the rope system with the assistance of firefighters. He was then transferred to the medical teams of the rescue unit, United Hatzalah, and Magen David Adom.
Due to the difficult terrain, the boy was transported out of the rescue zone via an all-terrain vehicle belonging to United Hatzalah. He was subsequently handed over to an MDA ambulance and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, with his condition diagnosed as mild.
