Billionaire investor Bill Ackman, founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, spoke alongside Prof. Yitshak Kreiss, director of the Sheba Medical Center, at the annual ARC Summit. Ackman highlighted Israel's economic potential driven by artificial intelligence and talent density.

Investment and Artificial Intelligence

"We came to Israel now because for my wife, Neri Oxman, it is very important to be here to vote," Ackman said. He noted that after October 7, he and his wife invested in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange following a one-hour conversation. Ackman stated that Israel will become one of the best economies in the world, emphasizing that in an era of artificial intelligence, a small population turns into an advantage where talent density matters most.

Global Perspectives and Leadership

Discussing the political landscape, Ackman mentioned that he has personally met only Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu among the candidates.

During the war he did a good job, maybe Israelis don't feel it, but the risk in the Middle East has decreased significantly and the chance for peace has increased.

He added that resolving the Iranian issue would yield a massive peace dividend, while expressing concern over the rise of socialist elements in the United States and Europe, such as France.

Medical Innovation and Personal Journey

Ackman also shared the personal story of his daughter Lucy, who suffered a stroke. He announced plans to establish a research institute focused on the brain, designed to be AI-native to drastically accelerate medical development timelines. Prof. Yitshak Kreiss noted that Sheba Medical Center is involved in discussions regarding the rehabilitation process.
