"Welcome to the IDF": New recruits to the Kfir and Nahal brigades
As part of our special report series, we accompanied new recruits joining the Kfir and Nahal brigades. "The feeling when you see people ready to give their lives to protect the country, and how much desire and will they have—you don't find that in any other country, it's only in Israel," said Itay, who is enlisting in the Kfir brigade.
As part of the special report series "Welcome to the IDF", our correspondent Yaron Avraham arrived at Ariel Sharon Park to accompany new recruits to the Kfir and Nahal brigades and offer support to their families on this significant day.
Omer, who is enlisting in the Kfir brigade, described his high level of motivation: "There is no one more gung-ho than me, I'm telling you," he said. Idan, enlisting in the Nahal brigade, spoke of his family's history in the unit: "My uncle was in Nahal, my grandfather was in Nahal."
