The Government Procurement Administration at the Accountant General's Office in the Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday that Bezeq and Partner have won the major tender for supplying data communication services to government ministries.

The total contract value is expected to reach approximately 1 billion NIS over a ten-year period. The tender aims to upgrade government communication infrastructure, strengthen operational continuity, and ensure advanced, secure, and reliable communication services while promoting competition and public spending efficiency.

Under the tender, two main services will be provided: advanced transmission services enabling connectivity across various bandwidths, and secure private network services facilitating secure data communication between government sites.

The tender is based on a primary and secondary supplier model for each service to reduce dependency on a single vendor, increase operational survivability, and ensure service availability throughout the contract period. Accordingly, Bezeq will supply approximately 70% of the services, and Partner will supply about 30%.

The tender emphasizes technological infrastructure upgrades, service quality, information security, and operational continuity. Services will include advanced fiber-optic infrastructure, monitoring and control systems, high-speed communication lines with guaranteed bandwidths, backup and survivability solutions, and secure cloud connectivity for government ministries under the Nimbus project.

Additionally, the tender incorporates advanced technologies such as WDM services and quantum encryption solutions as part of preparations for future government communication needs. Senior Deputy Accountant General Uri Shasha stated that the tender marks another milestone in upgrading government technological infrastructure and enhancing public service efficiency.

Government Procurement Administration Director Alon Kinst added that the results ensure advanced and secure communication services for government ministries while strengthening operational resilience through a dual-supplier model.
