Sources close to "Be-yachad" chairman Naftali Bennett have strongly dismissed Likud assessments suggesting he could be the sole partner from the change bloc willing to join a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu if the right-wing bloc fails to secure a 61-seat majority.

Political Manipulations Rejected

"This is a transparent Likud manipulation with no basis in reality," a senior source stated. According to insiders within Bennett's circle, the prospect of Bennett joining Netanyahu is entirely off the table, citing past threats directed at his family.

The reason Bennett will never go with Likud is not even political. His son received an envelope with a bullet one day. They messed with his family. Just like with Lieberman, these are things from which there is no turning back.

The 2022 Threat Controversy

The sources referred to the April 2022 threatening letters sent to Bennett's wife, Gilat, and their 16-year-old son, Yoni. The letters contained live rifle bullets and death threats demanding Bennett's resignation. Ilana Sporta Hania, a Likud activist and Netanyahu supporter from Ashkelon, confessed and was convicted of extortion, receiving an 18-month prison sentence in November 2023.

While Likud leadership was never implicated in the letters, sources insist the personal trauma permanently bars any political reunion between Bennett and Netanyahu following upcoming elections.
