Her untimely death marks the end of a resilient life journey defined by artistic brilliance and an arduous recovery from a catastrophic 2010 car accident.
Born in January 1989 in Ramat Hasharon, Belfer caught the attention of the cultural sphere at just 17 years old when she portrayed Tamar in Oded Davidoff's 2006 film adaptation of David Grossman's acclaimed novel "Someone to Run With". Her riveting performance earned her an Ophir Award nomination and subsequently secured her the Israeli Television Academy Award for Best Actress in a Miniseries, TV Movie, or Drama Series in 2007.
Beyond her cinematic achievements, Belfer carved out a distinguished career in journalism. In March 2010, Belfer's life took a dramatic turn when she was severely injured in a horrific car accident on the Ayalon Highway after stepping out of her vehicle due to a malfunction. She spent three weeks in intensive care followed by extensive rehabilitation at Sheba Medical Center, overcoming severe cognitive and physical challenges to triumphantly return to her broadcasting career and artistic endeavors. She is survived by her husband Shahar and their daughter.
