Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara addressed concerns regarding alleged foreign interference in the upcoming elections, seeking to reassure the public about the integrity of the democratic process. Speaking on Sunday, she clarified that current findings do not indicate any threat to the final election results.

"I am not aware of any foundation that comes close to influencing the election outcome or establishing a claim of an impact that could alter the results," Baharav-Miara stated. However, she qualified her remarks by adding that law enforcement remains vigilant: "If additional and new information is presented to us that has not yet been shown, it will be examined and handled according to the law."

Baharav-Miara emphasized that decisions to launch criminal investigations into the affair are based strictly on evidentiary grounds without extraneous considerations, following allegations of political motives. "When there is an evidentiary foundation—whoever needs to be investigated will be investigated," she stated firmly. "This is not a matter of right or left, nor of Jew or Arab. The decision whether to investigate an individual is professional, objective, and equal. That is how it has been and that is how it will be."

According to her, the law enforcement system is working in full coordination with the Central Elections Committee to ensure the proper conduct of the process. "The Chairman of the Elections Committee is overseeing the issue with professionalism, statehood, and responsibility, out of a deep understanding of the importance of election purity and public trust," Baharav-Miara concluded, promising, "We will keep him updated on developments."
