Ayalon Highways Scheduled for Weekend Closures Due to Infrastructure Works
Ayalon Highways will face full closures in both directions over upcoming weekends due to Israel Electric Corporation infrastructure works, with traffic diverted to alternate routes.
Ayalon Highways will experience major closures in both directions over the upcoming weekends due to infrastructure works carried out by the Israel Electric Corporation. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes as traffic diversions go into effect.
The northbound section of Highway 20 will be fully closed from Glilot East Interchange to the Sheva HaKochavim Interchange. Additionally, the entrance ramp from Highway 5 to northbound Highway 20 will be blocked, while the entry ramp from Sheva HaKochavim to the north will remain operational.
In the southbound direction, the highway will be shut down completely from the HaMa'apilim Interchange to Glilot East Interchange. Entry ramps at Sheva HaKochavim to the south and from Highway 543 at the Shefayim East Interchange will also be closed to traffic.
Authorities recommend using alternative thoroughfares such as Highway 2, Highway 4, and Highway 5, and consulting navigation applications for real-time updates. The scheduling has been coordinated with the Israel Police, Ayalon Highways Ltd., and security agencies.
