Avraham Aklum Faces In-Laws in Court Amid Bitter Divorce Battle
Avraham Aklum attended his first court hearing in a defamation suit filed by his in-laws, Sigal and Itzik Borgil. The legal battle runs parallel to an ongoing bitter divorce from Sapir Borgil, involving financial disputes and property claims.

Avraham Aklum appeared in court on Wednesday for the first hearing in a defamation lawsuit filed against him last November by Sigal and Itzik Borgil, the parents of his estranged wife, Sapir Borgil. Aklum arrived at the courthouse alone, without legal representation, wearing flip-flops and smiling while talking on his phone.
The private criminal complaint stems from social media posts and public statements made by the 30-year-old reality TV personality, which the plaintiffs claim contained defamatory and false accusations against them. In an angry post published at the time, Sigal Borgil stated that the behavior crossed all lines, accusing Aklum of attempting to pressure them through social media while simultaneously offering reconciliation in exchange for dropping legal complaints.
While the Borgil family emphasized their goal is not imprisonment but accountability, Aklum maintains the legal action is an attempt to exert pressure and interfere with ongoing divorce proceedings. The bitter public feud between the former couple escalated further last week when Sapir Borgil claimed in an interview that Aklum has refused to grant her a religious divorce for a year and a half, despite her relinquishing financial claims.
In response, Aklum disputed her claims, pointing to ongoing financial litigation that includes demands for their ketubah settlement and an actuary to oversee property division amounting to millions of shekels. Furthermore, Aklum demanded the return of personal items left in their shared apartment, including his refrigerator, vacuum cleaners, bed, and a Ninja kitchen appliance. The family now demands a public apology on social media or financial compensation.
